Last
summer I was struck by the fact that we have very few monochromatic
beads in our ranks. Since then I have been working hard trying to
create palettes (out of moretti!) which contain a lot of color, but
all in one range. It has been difficult to say the least. This beads
base is silver pink sifted with transparent gold brown reduction
frit. The striped cane is tongue pink with stripes of gold
aventurine, the flowers are ivory and straw, and the berries are
straw. The bead is reduced as a last step, to change the gray silver
pink rod into mustard and create a metallic effect.
